Kanawha River Railroad train 380 is tied down at the west end of Hobson Yard, waiting on a recrew to take the train south to Dickison Yard in Quincy, WV. After the WATCO-owned shortline took over the former West Virginia Secondary and part of the ex-VGN P-D District to Mullens, KNWA has worked to resume regular service between Watkins Yard in Columbus and Dickinson Yard near Quincy, running between 3-4 trains each direction a week. As the line is mainly single track with few passing sections, meets typically happen here as it is the midway point between the two yards. Tomorrow, a fresh crew will arrive to take the train across the former C&O Pomeroy Subdivision then back onto home rails at Kanauga into West Virginia towards the capitol city.
