Colorado's Western Slope is home to gritty mountain railroading. Heavy trains, deep canyons and treacherous curves are common along this route. Here, a loaded coal train running 2x2x2 thunders through Little Gore Canyon on a cool summer afternoon. Thunderstorms have built up across the region but that won't keep the trains from moving. In the distance you can see a westbound BNSF train in the siding at Azure. Just another awesome day in Colorado!
