Rio Grande SD40T-2 No. 5354 has coupled to the rear of the LJI44-22 and prepares to shove the 'Dirt Train' east to Soldier Summit the afternoon of July 22, 2000. 5354 has received the so-called 'Helper Nose Job' with Grande Gold and Black striping extending to the upper nose area, over the metal plate installed to block the gaping hole that once housed the gyralite. This Tunnel Motor was built new for the D&RGW by EMD in October 1974 and was retired the UP 9865 on January 24, 2008.
