Remarks & Notes
CN 5353 leads an older SD40 and another wide-cab on a grain train transfer out of Thornton Yard, across the Fraser River on a bridge shared by CN, BN and BC Hydro and onto a trestle that goes over the CP and drops down into their New Westminster yard facilities. CN is using BN trackage rights from the bridge into Vancouver, but most likely this train will cut off and head over to the elevators at North Vancouver. At this time, VIA's Super Continental still used this track, and as of 2016 Amtrak still uses this line for their Cascadian service into Vancouver, BC. The Pattulo bridge over shadows the railway bridge.
