| The future is under construction! We are looking at the Sound Transit Tacoma Dome Station and the second train of the evening is disgorging it's Tacoma based clientele, while under the bright lights the foundation of the new Passenger Station is being poured. This blue hour shot was taken at a mere 4:10 pm and the train will be leaving northbound in 20 minutes for a trip back to Seattle and then all the way back south to Lakewood. When all the pieces come together, all passenger trains through Tacoma will stop here. Those pieces are nearing completion with the construction of the new double track trestle just east of this station and the rebuilding of the line south of Lakewood to Nisqually, almost complete. |
