CNW 421 and an E8 are positioning commuter trains at the throat to CNW's Madison Street station for the afternoon rush hour. Dozens of trains will move in and out of this junction in the next couple hours heading west to Geneva, IL, northwest to Harvard, IL and north to Kenosha, WI taking workers home for the day.
Several Chicago railroads, including Burlington, Chicago & Northwestern, Illinois Central, Milwaukee Road and Rock Island, provided extensive service to and from the Chicago suburbs.
