One of the last remaining US&S doll arm signals on the Lineville sub continues to stand tall in the blue hour light as it protects the north end of Pyne siding. CTC controlled signals have been directing train movements on this portion of the line since their installation in 1956 by the owning ACL Railroad. Although this doll arm has protected trains since the mid-fifties, it's days are numbered now as new PTC compliant signals are going up along the route.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
