Called the USX West, but running under the BNSF symbol, a US Steel empty is headed to Monett, MO for interchange to the Arkansas & Missouri RR. My notes show the ultimate destination as Consolidated Grain & Barge in Van Buren, MO but unsure if it was for coal or limestone. Just under 6 months before the CN merger, this would end up being the last EJ&E train I ever photographed.
