No snow days for this railroad...after up to a foot or more of snow fell on Vermont Rail System's Connecticut River Division the crews were busy servicing customers and moving freight between Newport and White River Junction, Vermont. Train NPWJ-30 (Newport to White River Jct.) is seen at Morrison's Feed in Barnet, Vermont with one of Vermont Railway's original GP38-2s, albeit with the Washington County affiliate markings. For those who've asked, the VTR 202 was painted blue in 1999 for what was to be a short-lived Burlington commuter rail service, "The Champlain Flyer". The service lasted from 2000-2003 and then the GP38-2 202 received logos for the newly-acquired WACR.
