A westbound Western Maryland local storms up the grade at Charmian, Pennsylvania, en route to Hagerstown. The train is on the “Dutch line”, and the two GP9’s will continue to work hard until cresting the grade at Blue Ridge Summit in less than a mile. Shortly after that, the local will join the parallel Baltimore line at Highfield, and will have an easier journey to Hagerstown.
