My second empty grain train of the day curves into Wahpeton, North Dakota. It's not apparent from the photograph, but all the track visible actually belongs to the Red River Valley & Western. The track closest to the camera is the line west toward Wyndmere, Gwinner, and Oakes. The middle track heads northwest to such remarkable places as Colfax, Kindred, Davenport, and eventually reconnects to the BNSF's KO Subdivision at Casselton. The BNSF train is just about to MP 0.0 on the Moorhead Subdivision, but the RRVW actually owns and dispatches the line from MP 6.1 on the north side of Wahpeton to MP 212.3 of the Morris Subdivision on the south side of Breckenridge, a distance of approximately 10 miles. All three of the tracks converge just out of frame to the right at Wahpeton Jct, the aforementioned MP 0.0 and start of CTC.
