Eastbound grain empties briefly disrupt the morning activities of downtown Benson, Minnesota. While it's no longer plying the rails for its intended purpose, this BN caboose is certainly faring much better than many of its brethren. It appears to be well cared for with few signs of abuse, even with the lack of a fence protecting it. And it's in a prime location right between the BNSF's Morris Subdivision and Benson Bakery. After nabbing this shot, the delicious aroma wafting across the street necessitated a quick stop before continuing north toward Moorhead.
