An indescribably stunning ALCO C424 and T6 combo teams up on the A&M Springdale Switcher, and the hogger cleans them out for us while dragging out a cut of cars to kick. THIS is railroading, kids. Take note.
The 34 started out as BRC 602, built in April 1965, serial number 3382-07 and ran transfers (among other things) for the Belt Railway of Chicago. The 18 was once N&W 19, built in March 1959, serial number 82320, and probably never really moved a lot of transfer tonnage before going to work for the A&M, even though the type of engine was built for, and specifically marketed for that purpose.
