Already a grey railroad, with quite a few variants of its grey and blue paint scheme, also had legacy grey from the Seaboard System, Family Lines, and possibly the L&N and Clinchfield on its roster. Two more shades were added with the 1991acquisition of twenty former D&H/RDG GP39-2’s – D&H lightning stripe grey, and Guilford grey. Here one of the Guilford grey units works with a GP40-2 in an early CSX scheme to bring a string of hoppers under the Kennedy Boulevard bridge, and past the PECO Energy building.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
