Remarks & Notes
Down from Tunnel #1 on the Moffat Tunnel Sub is the crossing called Blue Mountain Road. This spot one could stack the mid-train power over top the head end power on most coal trains. This was a neat place to watch trains brake coming down the 1.5 %-2% grade down towards Denver. This train is still 19 miles from the UP's North Yard in Denver. Back in 1999 SP power was still the main power of choice for this mountain railroading.

I'm surprised the photographer was able to click the shutter on his/her camera for these pictures; it looks so cold.

Trains pulled by modern GE locos, from Dash-9s onward. My favorite locos, probably because I worked for GE at Erie, PA.
