With word now official (Feb. 2017) that rolling stock from both the red and blue units of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus trains will soon be auctioned off, a look back through the archives reveals this classic scene of the red unit snaking its way up Tehachapi Pass at Bealville during a July "jump" between shows in Fresno and Los Angeles. One of the most impressive passenger trains to see in person with over a mile in train-length, chasing this train over Tehachapi will remain one of my fondest memories.
