MILW 731, a venerable Fairbanks Morse H-12-44 hums away at the Janesville, WI roundhouse in September 1972, not far from its birthplace of Beloit, WI in March 1952. The earlier switchers like this one sported a steam engine inspired awning on the end of the cab. Later ones, built in 1954-55 were squared off.
