With the sun begins to dip behind the San Francisco mountains in Northern Arizona, a high priority UPS train from Los Angeles, CA to Willow Springs, IL races down the eastern slope of the Arizona Divide as it descends from summit; 7,335 feet above sea level. In the background, the headlights of a Los Angeles Harbor train holds at the control point of West Darling to let the faster moving Z-train run around it.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
