On a gloomy 1st morning of Spring that definitely fits the somber mood, the final Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Train to visit the Queen City of Cincinnati pauses in a downpour at the old Rendcomb Junction Interlocking Tower on the Indiana & Ohio Railway's Oasis Subdivision in Cincinnati's Lindwood neighborhood. The crew was finishing up doubling the train together in nearby Undercliff Yard before taking the train to NS at Sharonville for their trip to the their next destination in Norfolk, Virginia. The pickup truck belongs to an I&O official who was assisting the crew in getting the train assembled. The CSX power set was delivered with the train when it arrived in Cincinnati 2 weeks prior, and remained on I&O property until departure day.
My photos that I have taken on lines operated the Indiana & Ohio and it's affiliate operations, including the Central Railroad of Indiana (CIND), and the Chicago, Fort Wayne & Eastern Railroad (CF&E).
