| Red Barrel Cactus and the Seven Sisters - [Gorge Ride 2017 Series] -A trio of Red Barrel Cactus (Ferocactus cylindraceus) frame the view of the seven smaller trestle bridges east of Goat Canyon, collectively known as the Seven Sisters.
Soon the Red Barrels will bloom, however I did not see any blooming in the Gorge as of March 12th.
The two derailed Southern Pacific boxcars are also visible on the hillside below the tracks between the cactus on the far left and the side of the frame. |
