| Norfolk Southern local A81 heads west across Pinhook Creek in downtown Huntsville, AL. The local has just interchanged cars with the Huntsville and Madison County Railroad, and the locomotive has run around the 20 covered hoppers that it has picked up to head back west. There are actually two bridges in this scene. The bridge in the foreground belongs to the Huntsville and Madison County Railroad Authority, and the bridge in the background (which the local is on) belongs to NS. The switch connecting the two railroads is just out of sight to the right. |
