Remarks & Notes

A Milwaukee Road westbound transcontinental freight has pulled onto Pacific Coast Railway trackage at Black River Junction, south of Seattle. The train is switching cars at its Black River Yard before heading south to Tacoma to tie up at Tide flats Yard. The big GE's were common around the Pacific Northwest in the mid to late 70s, but I don't recall seeing them frequently on transcon trains.
