Crossing the 115-year-old, ex-Southern Pacific bridge that still spans the banks of the Salinas River for the Union Pacific Railroad, UP 2617 leads a late afternoon edition of the coast line's famous "Oil Cans" south for Santa Margarita for a date with the SLO-based helpers.
