Remarks & Notes
With four Missouri Pacific SD40-2’s following a Rio Grande tunnel motor, westbound Rio Grande coal train 788 negotiates the small canyon near Cotopaxi, Colorado. The 100 car train was loaded at Cameo, Colorado, about ten miles east of Grand Junction. At Pueblo, the train will be handed over to the Missouri Pacific, and will proceed over the MP, Illinois Central Gulf, and Mississippi Export to the Mississippi Power generating station at Daniel, Mississippi.
