2006 the english firm William Cook Cast Products (WCCP) bought the french steamlocomotive 141 R # 568 (built 1946 by Baldwin in Philadelphia). On this picture in the vineyards near Nyon the coalfired "Mikado" is on a test- and transit run from Geneva to Schaffhausen, where it was then prepared for the operation in Switzerland. After some years in Schaffhausen, the 2-8-2 is based in Vallorbe now and will make a round journey on june 24th 2017. |
