Remarks & Notes
Two forms of transporting coal meet at the crossing between Cane Patch, Virginia and Roaring Fork, Virginia on ex-Interstate Railroad rails. NS U52 was loaded at Cumberland River Coal Company's loader located at what was formerly referred to as Whitfield. The empty coal track waits to head back to a strip mining operation for another load of black diamonds.
