Rare Mileage Morristown & Erie Freight
On a beautiful Spring morning Morristown & Erie's daily local crew was tasked with making an unusual run West of Lake Junction on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line to Port Morris. The scrap gondola behind ME 18 was the culprit for the run as it needed to be weighed on the scale track in Port Morris. While Norfolk Southern uses this line three times per week the Morristown & Erie is quite the treat to see as they do not have any local work on this line making the run a true anomaly in the daily MO-1 schedule. |
