Remarks & Notes |
Conrail train ALCG (Allentown – Corning) rolls past the remains of the New Jersey Zinc Company plant at West Hazard (Palmerton), Pennsylvania. The motive power for today’s train is a little out of the norm, with three SD40-2’s. Typically the power was three six-axle GE’s with a GP38 or GP38-2 to be swapped out as the plant switcher at Proctor & Gamble’s Charmin paper mill in Mehoopany. |
