| Three months has passed since the Milwaukee S Curve Trestle was taken out of service, and the first half of Sound Transit’s new concrete bridge hosted it’s first train. A lot of progress has been made since, with this shot one can see the north half of the steel bridge crossing G street is in place (not completed) and about ¾’s of the abutments for the north half of the bridge are either complete or under construction. 4 spans worth of concrete beams have also been placed.

Construction of the new passenger station is also making good progress. The new umbrella roof is in place and the structure is about to be weather tight. Across the tracks, a concrete retaining wall is nearing completion. All passenger trains through Tacoma will move to this station and the new Bypass-Bypass route some time in 2017.
