Remarks & Notes
RM 31 was built by NZ Railways Hutt Workshops in 1938 and named Tokomaru after a famous historic Maori canoe. After restoration by the Pahiatua Railcar Society it returned to mainline service in 2011. Here it is seen in fading afternoon sunlight passing the fountain in Hastings on a run to Napier.
