An eastbound Conrail train crosses the Schuylkill River at Titus, Pennsylvania. The train is on the “turkey trail”, a nickname given to the eastern portion of the Reading Belt Line. The Structures to the left are part of the one-time Metropolitan Edison Company’s Titus Generating Station, a coal-fired power plant, which has since been retired. The concrete arch bridge under the lead locomotive is a remnant of the abandoned PRR Schuylkill Division.
