Interlocking towers and signal boxes of the SBB are rather modern and technologically advanced generally, with 4 large operation centers supervising and controlling nearly the whole network. But there is a lonely island still, this is Biel RB (Biel shunting yard). Here the red semaphor signals, the blue shunting signals and the switches are operated manualy with levers and wires from a small signal box to this day. So there is an astonishing contrast with modern vehicles, here a pantograph test train entering from Solothurn, with locomotives Rem 487 # 001 of Swiss Rail Traffic (rented to Bombardier) and 187 # 005 of Railpool(rented to the BLS). Both are Bombardier TRAXX F160 AC3 LM type.
