After a seven year absence, Amtrak's sole-operating Great Dome car, the 1955-built "Ocean View," returned to a regularly scheduled Pacific Surfliner train as it joined the single-level Horizon train-set operating as trains 761/790 on July 18, 2017. Seen here strutting through a pocket of sunlight along the mostly socked-in coast line, the Great Dome enters Emma Wood State beach as Amtrak 790 approaches its next stop of Ventura.
