Remarks & Notes
Heading downgrade on their run from Kingsport, Tennessee to Shelby, Kentucky, northbound mixed freight Q697-28 crosses Copper Creek trestle just outside of Clinchport, VA. Time freight has returned to the former Clinchfield Railroad across the Carolinas, Tennessee, & Virginia once again as operational changes at CSX have brought back the pair of Hamlet/Cincinnati manifest freights after a nearly 2 year hiatus following the shutdown of Erwin Terminal and subsequent reroute of through freight traffic in late 2015.
