| One of the rarely photographed locomotives in the Columbia area rests in the former American Italian Pasta Company Plant. It switches various cars for the plant and has done so since roughly 2005. Recently, a new company has taken over the pasta plant. Upon driving past today, I noticed there was not a single covered hopper on location (nor at the interchange). The engine was resting outside the bay where it normally sits and all was quiet. While it provided a great chance for photos, it did leave me wondering what the future may hold for this classic piece of railroad history. |
