As Amtrak 242 (P42DC 114 leading) heads down the Park Avenue Viaduct into Grand Central Terminal on Friday, August 4, 2017, we have some idea as to the intense volume of rush hour service that travels this piece of the railroad. Visible in the picture are MTA Metro-North Railroad M7s, M8s, and Shoreliner cars. One can imagine a time when New York Central Railroad S-Motors, T-Motors, and ACMUs along with New Haven EP-5s, FL-9s, and many other varieties of classic equipment traversed these rails.
GE manufactured safety cab locomotives, refer to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_GE_locomotives for a complete list.
NOTE: This album includes photos of modern GE passenger locos.
