SEPTA's former Reading built Southampton Station. This station was built in 1892 and is similar in design to three other Reading stations - Churchville, the next station up the line, which is currently in use as a residence, as well as two now demolished stations on the West Trenton line, one that stood at Trevose (replaced by a glass shelter) and the other near Yardley, PA at Roelofs (no longer a stop). Today, this station that once saw Reading Camelbacks and saw its last SEPTA RDC on January 14, 1983 is on lease to the Southampton Railroad Station Society. The tacks that once extended to Newtown, PA now terminate at Fox Chase in Philadelphia with a good percent of the ROW now part of the Pennypack Trail.
