Yet another day dawns for this Reading Company station built in 1892 in Southampton, PA. Civilization is slowly creeping in, however, as witnessed by the new 3-stroy condominiums absent in 2013. The station and lot escaped extinction in 2013 (amazingly) when the developer was refused a request to demolish it to make way for an access road, as well as additional parking. That was joyous news as the station adds much character and history to the township that is in many ways indistinguishable from its neighbors.
