As severe thunderstorms in the distance light up the night sky, BNSF 6792 east approaches the crossing at Oil Mills Road. Soon the doublestack train will pull in to Sweetwater, Texas for a crew change. The thunderstorms, which stretched over 200 miles from Lubbock to Wichita Falls, produced a lot of lightning, including the bolt just above the signal cabinet.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
