| A duo of CN GEVOs lift a heavy train laden with raw materials from the British Columbia interior up the steep mountain at Narin Falls. The grade here is 2.2% and requires all available horsepower to lift the heavy train to the summit near Whistler. The long train has two more big General Electric DPUs cut into the train 2/3 deep. Manned helpers were once cut in at Pemberton for this steep climb, technology and lack of traffic have curtailed these manned helper operations. This was one of the last trains before wildfires shut down the line for almost two months. |
