Re 460 # 013 is pulling the 10 car IC2000 doubledeck push pull train IC 711 Geneva Airport-St.Gallen with 200 km/h over the NBS near Hindelbank. The 45 kilometer long "highspeed line" NBS from Mattstetten (Aespli) to Rothrist was opened in december 2004, to shorten the curvy line via Burgdorf-Herzogenbuchsee-Langenthal. Usually, every half an hour, three trains are following each other with an interval of about 2 minutes, controlled by ETCS (European Train Control System, no optic signals along the line). But sometimes, there are even shorter distances between trains, the shortest which I recorded this day was 89 seconds only, which means a distance of less then 5 kilometer between the two trains, each running with 200 km/h.
