Remarks & Notes
This 42-ton 2-Truck Shay was built in 1912 by the Lima Locomotive Works for Weist Logging Co. in Port Alberni, where it operated as #1. Between 1918 and 1950, it was operated as #2, in Franklin River, for Alberni Pacific Lumber Co. Ltd., which then became the Alberni Pacific Division of MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. The Western Vancouver Island Industrial Heritage Society acquired it in 1984.
