Hurricanes are not the only source of major flooding as anyone who lived thru The Great Flood of 1993 can attest. The Mississippi river set many records that year. Over a month after the river had crested, yard tracks are still partially underwater at the Santa Fe yard in Fort Madison. It was amazing to see just how far the water travelled over the banks of the river.
