Remarks & Notes |
Notch Train 163 climbs the steep grade toward Crawford Depot moments before passing through the Gateway. The rock face above the train is part of Mount Willard. The steep right of way was once part of the Maine Central Mountain Subdivision. Today Conway Scenic Railroad runs their "Notch Train" over these rails attracting tourists from around the world. |
