One dead unit leading. CN 327's conductor (rp.net contributor Nicolas Houde) waves from the lead unit as the train passes a pedestrian overpass in Beaconsfield. Unfortunately the lead unit had died just a bit east of here; the train would crest the ruling grade west of here at 9 mph before the unit was brought back online at Coteau.
Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
