A pair of tuscan red E8s present a sight that was common on the Pennsylvania RR in the 1960s, but the scene is in former New Haven territory at Pine Orchard (Branford), CT, and the ex-PRR E8s are working for Penn Central on a New York-Boston express. Within a few months of its 1/69 takeover of the NH, PC assigned Pennsy E8s with NH-compatible cab signals to replace native FL9s between Boston and New Haven.
