With the long days during the summer and a new job start time at 17:00, this L567 has been in the back of mind for something to hit up this summer. Well thru extra bulk trains 3 SD60's worked their way to Cedar Rapids. For some really odd reason they all ended up on the locals down there for a couple days. I went out today to get L567 on their Manchester turn with a trio of 60's. I figured my work schedule wouldn't work out for this, but as luck would have it for once, this was the last trip for these, as the rear motor setout at Manchester.
Here the job works north near MP 17 between Central City and Coggon.
The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
