Remarks & Notes
Over the past week several BNSF unit grain trains have operated on a detour route over Union Pacific's Lakeside sub, south through Salt Lake City then east through Provo. These trains have been nicknamed "worms" since the long brown train snaking across the landscape resembles an earthworm from a distance. The one disadvantage to running them through Provo is that they are too long to fit in the yard - if left intact, they block the crossings at either end, so upon arrival the train is split in two for refueling.

Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
