After getting permission to depart, the daily run NS 117 (Bellevue,OH-Sheffield,AL) slowly eases around the curve at Control-Point (CP) East End Avenue (MP-337.1) heading straight for the NS controlled NS/CSX Diamond at 23rd St. The first two track on the foreground is starting point of the double track main which run north is the CSX Western & Atlanta Sub. The two track in the background is the NS AGS North-End/Chattanooga Terminal (CT). Both railroad pace each other for 7 rail-miles up to 23rd St which both railroad crosses and go their separate direction for a few miles. With the NS traffic lined up to cross the diamond NS 117 continue south with a CN, and CP motor consist for Wauhatchie.
