Remarks & Notes

The South Branch Valley’s Industrial Brownhoist crane is seen on a siding in Moorefield, West Virginia. The ultra-heavy frame and lack of knuckle couplers strongly suggest that the wrecker came from the same military surplus source as the line’s two Alco MRS1’s. It’s interesting to think how this piece was handled in interchange service to get to the SBV at Green Spring.
